Scholarship Application Packet
The California Mid Winter Fair (CMWF) Heritage Foundation offers scholarships to residents of Imperial County who choose to pursue continuing education in an agricultural area or related field of study through a technology or trade school, community college, or university.
The deadline for application submission is April 1st. Awards are announced prior to June 1 annually.
Graduating High School Seniors applying for this scholarship must meet all of the following criteria:
● Be graduating from an Imperial County high school.
● Currently enrolled in FFA, 4H, Independent or ROP program(s).
● Hold a minimum 2.5 GPA.
● Be accepted into some form of continuing education with a clear indication of agricultural pursuits.
● Have a sealed letter of recommendation from an FFA instructor, 4-H advisor/leader, or ROP instructor.
● Have a sealed letter of recommendation in a sealed envelope from a non-family person who is familiar with your character, work ethic and ambitions.
Second Year Applicants
CMWF Heritage Foundation offers scholarship opportunities to prior scholarship recipients who are continuing education with a clear intent to pursue a career in the area of agriculture. The deadline for application submission is April 1.
Prior scholarship recipients applying for their second and final scholarship must meet all of the following criteria:
● Hold a minimum 2.5 GPA
● Show a commitment to continuing their education in agricultural pursuits through their application.
● Have a sealed letter of recommendation in a sealed envelope from a non-family person familiar with your character, work ethic, and ambitions.
Applicants who do not submit a completed packet will be automatically disqualified. Scholarship amounts will be determined on a competitive basis, with awards typically ranging from $100 to $1000. Recipients may receive a scholarship award a maximum of two times.
